MOSH & MOAH with Nestlé

Today, Céline Vocat from Nestlé Research & Development presented the groundbreaking proof of concept work we did together, automating Mineral Oil (MOSH/MOAH) analysis, one of the most complex and variable workflows in food testing.

To put this in context: in a European proficiency test (JRC FCM-22/01), laboratories showed relative standard deviations of 15 – 30 % for MOSH/MOAH quantification.

And in an inter-laboratory comparison (JRC IF 2021-03), the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre noted that some labs “reported lower recoveries and highly scattered results.” That’s the inconsistency we set out to solve.

With EI CoPilot, those labor-intensive, analyst-dependent steps are now AI-driven, reproducible, and consistent across labs, giving scientists confidence and freeing their time for discovery.
